  The Sustainable Workplace Alliance in partnership with Recycle Florida Today presents this 1-day OSHA Disaster Site Worker course!

  The Disaster Site Worker Course (#7600) is designed for qualified and unqualified disaster support personnel who may not have construction experience. The goal of this course is to provide disaster site workers with awareness of the safety and health hazards they may encounter in the field while performing cleanup or other work in a disaster-affected area.

  Additionally, participants will learn the importance of respiratory protective equipment and other personal protective equipment and proper decontamination procedures that can be used to mitigate hazards. Participants will support the use of an incident command system through the safe performance of their job responsibilities. They will be able to show awareness of the effects of stress from traumatic incidents that may result from working conditions and measures to reduce this stress.

  Prerequisite requirement for the class.

  Students must have completed the 10-hour or 30-hour OSHA course prior to receive an official certification (wallet card) from OSHA for this training. Students who do not have either course prior to this training may attend but will not receive an official certification (wallet card) from OSHA. Those students will receive a certificate of attendance instead.

  Join Florida’s premier recycling association for two and one-half days of well rounded education and networking opportunities. Attendees will be able to sit in on multiple educational tracks, walk the exhibit hall to view the latest techniques, products and services in recycling and more.

  
  

  Who Should Attend?

  • Who should attend: Environmental professionals from Local and State Governments, Private and Non-Profit Sectors, Program Managers, Recycling Coordinators, Directors, Managers, Consultants, Regulators, and those interested in the business and development of the recycling industry.

  What does your registration include?

  • Registration includes: conference credentials, access to educational sessions, the exhibit hall and networking functions.
  • Networking breaks include: Two (2) continental breakfasts, two (2) refreshment breaks, one (1) reception, one (1) lunch, and one (1) networking dinner. *Those who register at the individual non-member rate will receive membership to Recycle Florida Today, Inc. for the remainder of the year.  Memberships expire on December 31st of each year.  Registrants may also participate virtually.

  Session Sponsorship Rates:

  $200 for RFT Members, Annual Sponsors, and Event Sponsors

  $400 for Non-Members

  • Featured slide at the start of the session. The session slide will be presented as “sponsored in part by” and presented at the conference at the start of your sponsored session. The slide must be presented prior and approved by RFT. The slide may contain your organizations logo, contact information, and a up to five line statement about your organization that will be read to the audience.
